ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – Hundreds of walkers filled Seneca Park for the March On for Brain Injury Family Fun Walk in Rochester on Saturday. The walk helped raise money and awareness about brain injuries.
This year the annual walk honored Judson Oot, who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a motorcycle accident and had to re-learn many activities after the accident.
Oot passed away in 2014.
“Our March On for Brain Injury is a way for individuals, families and friends to come together to raise awareness about brain injuries, and to raise money to support our programs and services and other important efforts in this field,” Eileen Reardon, the executive director of the Brain Injury Association of New York State, said.
Registration cost $30 for adults ($35 after Aug. 11); $20 for youth ages 4-12; and free for children ages 3 and under..
